Guys, I hope that someone might be able to help me.

 

My Octavia is difficult to get in 1st and reverse gear when the engine is running. I have had the slave cylinder and the master cylinder replaced but still no joy.

 

The clutch isn't slipping at all.

 

Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

 

 

 

Firstly have you tried resetting the cable gear linkage?

 

It can make a massive difference to shifting, and is dead easy.

There is no cable to adjust, the clutch is hydraulic.

The gear linkage is cable operated.

What he said Mine was shocking from brand new and garage said it was normal!! Followed the above vid...took a whole ten mins and has completely transformed it

Hi Guys, I have tried the gear linkage alignment but it has made no difference. The gears are easy to select until I start the engine.
