Remove radio in Fabia III

Featured Replies

Does anybody know how to remove the radio in the Fabia III? I have an annoying rattle that I believe is coming from somewhere behind the unit, so I would like to get it out to check.

To avoid guarantee failures, do let the dealer take care of the problem.

FWIW.

you need the removal keys

you will see 4 small slots, 2 at the top of the radio and 2 at the bottom

insert the keys and push outwards, that should release the catches

That's what I thought as well. I visited the dealer today, but they did not have any interest in helping me right now, but suggested I book a time (first available months away). Where could I get these keys?

Halfords stock them normally for the UK.  So most good motor parts stores should stock them.

Problem solved. I was able to get the dealer to take a quick look behind the radio. The engineer did not find anything wrong in particular, but the noise is gone. Perhaps just removing and reinstalling the radio released tension somewhere...
