Rear electric window problem

Featured Replies

Hey guys I made a 15 second video on my issue here. The window goes back up just fine if I press it to go back up.

I've found this thread but I don't have a clue what bit of the door I'm actually supposed to be looking at to fix this. Any help would be super appreciated, thanks :)

If it doesn't make a grinding noise when the motor moves, you may be lucky, and the regulator may just not be gripping the glass.

If you strip the door card off down to the carrier as detailed in that thread, and then remove the two rubber grommets as circled below, when you drop the window down, you should see the two rubber grippers that grab the bottom of the glass. You may be able to tighten them up.

There may also be a plastic peg that goes through a hole in the glass to further hold the glass to the regulator.

This picture is a for a Fabia, but I'd imagine it's looks very similar.
