Apex RDX Coilovers?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

Has anyone had any experience with APEX RDX Coilovers? Trying to decide on new coilovers for my MK1 vRS and I can get these for decent money through work. My only concern is there doesn't seem to be a lot of information or reviews of them.

From what I've gathered the height is adjusted separately from the spring pre-load therefore retaining full damper travel and maintaining comfort.

Picture for reference...

I'm looking for something that will give me plenty of lows but also be fairly comfortable.

Cheers,

Aaron

Ever had any dealings with the Apex coilovers? We sell loads of the spring kits but never had anyone buy the coilovers lol

Have a set of these ordered in for Wednesday so I'll have them in for MOT test on Saturday and I'll let you all know what I think of them :)

Should be good enough as they seem to get decent reviews and there's a 2 year warranty on them :D

keep me informed got a mate who works at another branch lol

Really impressed with the quality. Height adjustable separate from spring preload so they retain full damper travel even when low, so they should be pretty comfortable.

Come with drop links and all!

I'll have them fitted some night during the week here with Polybush top mounts so I'll keep you all posted on first impressions and do a proper review after a month or so :)

Cheers,

Aaron

they look a nice bit of kit  :)

Be worth coating the shock bodies and threads also with a good grease as Ive seen them rust (not this brand but coilovers in general)

Yeah they will be getting plastered in copper grease so they don't seize lol

Well got these fitted last night and they are fantastic!!!

Go stupidly low and are very comfortable! Would recommend them to anyone and can't believe more people don't use them.

Had to raise it a good 40mm just to get it off the ramp!  :D

So if you are looking a decent coilover that goes low and rides well but don't want to spend more than £500 definitely consider these.

is a cracking idea how the shocker moves into the strut and locks in

  • Author

Yeah its a great idea and means you can still have full damper travel even when it's lowered so it's comfier :D

they do look cool but thinking of not keeping em and staying on the h and r springs ans stock rims now
