Dreaded knocking noise...

Featured Replies

Soooo... two weeks after getting the wishbone sorted I've got a new problem. This one isn't affecting the handling yet though!

Basically on Monday I was trying to turn round in a street and misjudged how close I was to quite a high kerb, so mounted it with my front left wheel.

Since then I've had a knocking noise every time I turn left, which is also accompanied by a sort of grinding sound occasionally when I come off the accelerator.

Wondering if it's something to do with the driveshaft - a loose joint or something?

Anyway, any ideas? I've had a look under the bonnet and under the car but the knocking sound only happens when the car's moving so I can't really tell.

Any thoughts appreciated!

Jack that side up. And spin the wheel.see if sound occurs.

Depending on how much force you hit kerb with. You could of damaged the wheel
