Diesel fuel filter

Featured Replies

Hi,   Can anyone confirm the part number for a Diesel fuel filter, Octavia 2.0 TDI  BKD engine.. Is it   1K0127434A   or 1K0127434 ?   With or without the 'A' ? .      Thanks..

You need to check the fuel filter housing.

It will either say  "UFI" or "M+H" on the side. Unfortunately it is facing the inside of the wing so you might need a mirror. I wedged my camera phone down there instead and took a picture!

If it is UFI then there is only one filter now, it is 3CO 127 434 (the part number on the fuel filter housing is for the housing itself, for example mine is 3CO 127 400 C).

I understand that the 1KO part numbers are the M+H filters.

I have just been through the same exercise as you and ordered a fuel filter today from ECP for my 2008 2.0 TDi.

As said, the only way to be sure is to check the fuel filter housing before buying.

Even TPS searching by my VIN couldn't tell me which was correct, and suggested buying both, and then returning the incorrect one after the job.

By what i can see it's Mann + Hummel  and the part number on the housing is   1K0127400E if that helps?

Stick your reg number in here...

From the results you will be able to click into each one and find the one with M+H in the description, hopefully there is just one!

There's 4 different types that by the descriptions will fit my car, I think it's going to be a case of enny meeny miny moe   :D

Remove the headlight to see the markings on the fuel filter canister.

I sympathise with the OP, when I put the reg number of our Octavia into ECP (linked above) I got several choices, including UFI and M+H.

He has confirmed it is an M+H which unfortunately means there are still a couple of choices.

If it had been UFI on the filter housing it would be simple as there is only one filter for the UFI filter housing.

I've just been through this today, spoke to both Rainworth Skoda and ECP's online chat, got there in the end!

Skoda part no 3C0127434. Is a UFI 26.007.00. Just bought one from Opie on eBay. Was £16.49 iirc.

Beware of other sellers offering the UFI they often send an equivalent.
