octavia engine oil

Featured Replies

Hi looking for help need to do oil change but baffled what oil does my octavia 2002 1.9tdi ALH need im unsure what a pd engine is and if mine is a pd, apologies if this seems a daft question but i appreciate any advise Cheers

I usually go for 5/30w with longlife spec (507.00). Though I'm sure 505.00 is probably ok.

This is the stuff I usually buy: "Petronas Engine Oil (Syntium 5000 AV 5w30 4ltr)" at £25/bottle.

If you've got a bit of storage space then it may be worth you looking at the larger containers as it's so much cheaper:

thanks for that appreciate the help the old car could do with some new oil

ALH is not a PD engine, just a plain old 90bhp tdi :)

505.00 spec oil is what you need, but 505.01 or 507.00 will be fine too.

thanks again appreciate all the advice cheers

vw507 is the spec you need - it is the longlife code specific to diesel engines
