Egr delete

Featured Replies

Just pull the vacuum pipe off and bung it up...

Yes mate that is correct (53 should be an ASZ engine unless it has been swapped out). Your anti shudder valve and egr are all one unit and that egr delete replaces it.

The BLT engine engine which came in late 2005 has a separate anti shudder valve and egr and subsequently with the right egr delete, you can retain the anti shudder valve.

(Bit more than you needed but hopefully helps lol).

(Alternatively you could also do as mentioned above! As the ASZ won't throw a fault light like the BLT).

Asz will throw a fault code up if you pull the vaccum pipe off. Mine did and had to be mapped out by faboka.

Sorry my bad, not sure why I thought it wouldn't.

Can I just ask...if I pull the vacuum pipe off the EGR....it will stop the bloody annoying 'hesitation' I get just after changing gear when at low speed?

Quite possibly, try it and see. Block the hose you pull off with a golf tee or similar.

I can confirm by bunging that pipe up and also have the egr deleted out of ecu via remap like i have. It makes a huge difference.
