Towbar on Octavia hatch with parking sensors?

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Any of you got experience of fitting a towbar? It's for my VRS, I want detachable, reason is for fitting a Thule bike rack - not for towing a caravan! I'm thinking it's a much easier way of taking four bikes out for the day.

Also it seems to be really expensive, £400+?

Thanks

Jez

Witter detachable on both my hatch and estate and my previous Skodas.

PM me and I will give you info of the Supplier fitted for around £300.

Thanks - PM sent. I'm in West Sussex btw if anyone has a specific recommendation.

Westfalia detachable fitted to mine 6 years ago. Using a relay board to minimise cost. Yes, the sensors do wail when the rack is on and you reverse.

Works fine and done thousands of miles at speed with pushbikes.

I fitted a fixed PCT towbar to my hatchback. Parking sensors work fine
