Mk3 Monte up on configurator ( CZ)

Featured Replies

Not on ours yet but just to say Monte is available on the CZ site, I have to say if i can get the right deal i may be ordering a combi monte as it looks great.  based on comparable costs it works out £14900 for the base 1.2 tsi manual to £17150 for the 110bhp DSG.

Yeah I know but rallye green used to vrs only, now it's available on all models. Could be tempted by a yellow estate if any decent deals are about come trade in time

I've seen a yellow Mk3 estate and it looked awful.

The monte estate looks good in red and the interior isn't that bad it nice to have a bit of colour sometimes

The seat fabric looks like a scene from Bournemouth sea front and the centre console looks like something from a Demon Tweaks brochure.

The exterior is fab, I think it looks much better than my old Monte Tech, it's spoilt only by the interior IMO.

Only if the interior was yellow/blue ;)

The exterior looks great. I'm sure we could retrofit those skirts and front lip

*cough* my old monte mk2 in yellow looked great

this monte i'm not sure about.....

And at the Top of the engine range will no doubt be the 1.2 TSI...

WAKE UP SKODA!

The Modified Platform for the 'All New 3rd Generation Fabia' with Elements & Components of the MQB Platform. (paraphrase Skoda)

& Inspired by the Fabia Rally Car which has the New Fabia DNA. (paraphrase Skoda)

has a Tunnel running through to the rear of the car thanks to the how the platform  which is suited for the likes of the Audi Quattro A1 & the 2014 S1 with Haldex (part time quattro awd) & the Shell used for the WRC 2 Skoda Fabia R5

So maybe sometime down the line as the Fabia R5 keeps winning in WRC2 and Skoda continue to try to cash in on their History / Heritage & success in Motorsport they might build and sell to the general public a Warm or Hot All New Fabia with more than just 110ps.

More importantly decent handling from more than just the most basic of suspension.

Using the 'Monte Carlo' name as a Trim Level for 'Sporty looks' is just taking the Pith really from the 'Motorsport Heritage' & Rally Inspired.

Given the Sales disaster in the UK that is the 2014/15 Audi S1 & maybe even the 2015 Polo GTI 1.8TSI Manual & DSG then maybe Skoda will never get the go ahead from the Volkswagen Group to have an affordable Hot Hatch.

The salesman who I dealt with for my new one said they're not going to bring a vRS Fabia out as the list price would be too high, however, he did say they were talking of bringing a Rapid vRS out.

As always though, take what Skoda say with a pinch of salt, they haven't been very consistent lately!

yep, I've had a similar conversation with my local too.

Was enquiring about the Monte & he said there is no date at the moment.

I think they have a point about the pricing. My SEL with extras is a £17k vehicle (before negotiation), the VRS must be around the £20k mark.

Fabia vRS is a name the current Skoda CEO said will not be used, so maybe while he is the CEO it might never be,

he said 'if you really want a vRS get a Octavia'. (or Top Gear quote him as saying that.)

But the Fabia vRS or Mk2 vRS was never Hot Hatches, only warm Fabias.

It is a Skoda Fabia Hot Hatch that is being talked about, not just a Skoda Version of a Polo GTI 192ps or a Seat Ibiza 192ps or even more.

*Who cares what it is called as long as it goes, handles and stops, and is not just Stckers & Trinkets

and called 'Sport' or 'Monte Carlo' with sporty looks and no sporty underpinnings.*

Maybe when someone like Renault can do with the Clio RS 220 Trophy for around £22,000 or less,

then that gives Skoda something to aim for with a Hot Hatch as a choice for buyers,

because all the Octavia offers just now is the 220 ps Petrol or maybe the 230 ps, and they are a Family / Taxi Sized car no bigger than a Golf but not exactly light or with handling or technology that is anything modern.

UK Car Dealership employees can never give a clear answer on what they will have in to sell in the next 6 months,

when has anyone meet one that knows what the Future holds,

or sometimes even what the one they are showing you that day has,

they read brochures or websites or not, and still do not know the cars.

The funniest thing is when they have one as their perk of the job and still do not know how it works.

Under 3,000 vRS Mk2 & under 6,000 Monte Carlo sold in the UK,

The CEO is the one that signed off these cars, maybe he has a lot to answer for,

the Rapid & Rapid Spaceback will be more of the cars he signed off that go down like a lead balloon.

Hows the red interior going to work if u buy a green monte......it could maybe work with say blue....but would rather have another choice.....come on skoda get ur act together,,,,,
