Amundsen Sat Nav

Featured Replies

I have a May 2012 Vrs that ws optioned with Amundsen nav and came with a UK and ROI disc and 1 with European main roads. I now want to get a disc that covers europe in detail and France in particular.

First point of contact was the local dealer who also contacted Skoda UK. Apparently there is no disc and no update and their advice-- buy a Tom Tom.

I am a bit disappointed (mild understatement) that in a 3 year old car my system cannot be updated.

It may sound daft, and might well be, but is it worth contacting Skoda France (if there is such)??

I'm sorry, the dealer is completely wrong.

If you have an Amundsen RNS310 (not a Amundsen+ RNS315) then the latest Western European maps can be found here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191632848538

In fact, you can get it for €99 directly from VW at the moment too: https://shop.volkswagen.nl/auto-accessoires/car-electronics/navigatie-updates/3C8051884CM-volkswagen-navigatie-sd-kaart-fx-platform-voor-oa-de-rns310-west-europa-v7?cid=130

All RNS310 units will take the same map updates, just make sure it's not the Amundsen+ as that is a completely different unit which requires a different map update.

Perhaps a trip to your local VW dealer is needed?

Mine is the Amundsen. I checked on the discs and it is RNS 310

Excellent, then as per the VW site, the part number is 3C8 051 884 CM but I suspect any UK dealer will probably try and charge way more than €99 for it.
