Brake Issues

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Last week, I went home and whilst at home I had an issue with the clutch. topping up the fluid reservoir and bleeding the clutch seems to have fixed the clutch. Now however, there is an issue with the brakes. I bled the brake on the same weekend that I bled the clutch. The brakes appear to work just fine, but the brake pedal itself behaves very weirdly. When I apply a lot of pressure on the brake pedal, with the engine running and take my foot of the pedal, the pedal returns, but the travel back doesn't have any feel. Until I get to the place I took my foot of the pedal.

To my mind, this flags up an issue with the vacuum system, as I am not loosing brake fluid. I do have the car booked into a garage for tomorrow morning, so this is more for idle curiosity, what could be wrong with my brakes?

I'll update when the car has been collected from the garage.

Thanks,

Ross
