Turbo has gone! Best place for a replacement in Coventry/Hampshire

Featured Replies

Yes, it's happened. 115k on the clock and she lost power outside of Leamington on the A46 as I went to overtake someone on Saturday. Got to the side of the road but she couldn't get over 1200 rpm when the engine was restarted. Once I saw the puddle of oil emerging from underneath the engine I decided to no longer try turning her over.... let's not throw engine seizure into the mix either. To add insult to injury, ordered a new cam sensor and AP Suspension kit on friday! Argh!!!

So, I am in Hampshire with some temporary wheels (A sexy V-reg Honda Accord. hmmmmm) and my fabia is near the other half's location at a Garage in Coventry. I need me a turbo, so I'm open to suggestions!

Cheapest option is to get a used KKK turbo, they pop up for sale on here frequently. Cost about £150

Better still get a new garret one, more like £500 though. There is a vendor on here by the name of Xman that sells these at a competitive price

A used Garrett in good condition can be had for about £300 if you can find one

Definitely speak to Xman as he has hybrids for £500 or less.

I've messaged Xman. I look forward to seeing what he thinks.

Would a hybrid effect reliability/economy much? Power boosting isn't really a necessity.

Have you messaged Xman or Xman750 as they're different people!?

Xman750. Made sure I had the right one first. :)

A standard kkk turbo has just come up

In the classifieds for £115!
