Hi. New to this forum. Wondered if anyone know this:

BMN and BMM - is the block and the head the same on these engines? AS I understand the differences on these engines is the turbo, injectors and software?

Ny BMN crashed yesterday and the engine is stuck. It will not turn around. Beeing a var mechanic a fre years back tells me that this is expencive trouble. Haven't had the time to open the engine yet but i bet a used replacement will be cheaper and saves me time.

BMM is more widely available. So I was thinking about just buying a replacement used BMM and re-use my ild turbo and injectors. Answers from the ones who knows this will be much appreciated. Thanks! :-)
