Finding the ideal car

Just tell them it is a Golf GTi with a proper sized boot

Isn't it also an Audi engine?

Well it has paid to look around for a while to find the right motor. Bit of a gamble leaving a deposit before seeing the car, but boy am I happy. Just picked it up today and have driven it home 150 miles. I certainly now understand why you guys rave about these motors. It has perfect bodywork, unmarked alloys and virtually new tyres. It has certainly been looked after by the previous owner. The garage where I bought it, F Chase and Sons Of Doncaster Road Hatfield, could not have been more professional and helpful. They are not a Skoda garage, but you should see the variety of high quality motors they stock. The drive home was a great experience, smooth, quiet and powerful, what more do you want in a car. Must change my profile, as now at last I am a VRS owner.

roaddetective, great news! Welcome to the fold!

Top work and seemingly worth the wait!

I wish you many happy years with your new vRS!

Should be a fairly good quality VRS TSI hatch, race blue, RPS, Xenons, 3 years old in November coming through the approved used route soon as mine went back today [emoji22]

Now just 3 weeks to wait for my c class to arrive.

Never missed a beat for me, so if you see a 62 plate reg ending OBB it's likely to be my old one.

Just make sure they've replaced the tyres and got the alignment done.
