Hi

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda....

Thanks, I'm having connection problems and every time I've put something here it has vanished.

I started by introducing myself as founder member of DSUK (Disabled Racing UK).

Just bought my first Skoda (Roomster 1.9tdi)   I have a right leg below knee amputation and wear a bionic leg. Being 6'6" makes finding a car I fit in very hard.

I drive a normal geared car with no adaptations at all and find it easy to drive this Skoda. Most of my previous cars had at least 5.7cc and came from the US which meant I could fit.

I knew the Skoda needed work doing which is why I got such a bargain. But it was the type of work I couldn't see that amused me.

The front right side light....who thought that one out ?   all the seat catches were broken on rear seats... cigar lighter and media port 'under' the hand brake...

And the biggest shock was spooning out £200 for a spare key !?

All said.....I don't half like it. Very fast...and surprisingly stable on corners and fast roundabouts (I'm thinking of The North Circular Road, London)

I hear there's a chipping process that can squeeze another 30BHP !....is this true ?

Just got a reply back from Skoda..... £47 each for just one seat catch.   That's harsh, they snap so easily.

Lets hope this don't get lost in web space......  I will post any "fixes" I work out when they come.....I bought the Factory Manual, not quite Haynes, but it'll do.

Till next time.........
