Kobo Glo HD eReader

Featured Replies

SWMBO always decides to purchase books at the airport when going on holiday and it made me rethink the ereader situation.

It's easy enough to get a Kindle Paperwhite but have noticed that the reader with the most open format appears to be Kobo. The version that primarily interests me is the Glo HD and I wondered if anyone else had experience of this model and if so, what things are good or bad about it in relation to the other makes of readers that are available?

No experience of the glo but have two kobos in the familay, a mini and a new touch. Both have been great and were bought because of the open format as opposed to a kindle.

I have to say I love my kindle paperwhite and although it's not as open it is very very easy to use.

After Amazon had a '£10 for free day' recently, I decided that was the way to go too. Calibre also makes it relatively easy to sort out anything I acquire in a non kindle format.
