Hi guys, I have a monte 1.2 TSI

Currently it is running a tuning box, been on for about a year now. Very happy with the power increase and the extra mpg I get.

Changing the car isn't an option for around 18 months so I want a little more power.

What would be the next step?

I was thinking about a decat, new exhausts and induction kit. Would it be worth the expense and what extra bhp would I gain?

I know I have a TDi not a TSi but I had a tuning box for about 6 months and then wanted something more. Went to a proper remap and the difference was brilliant so instead of changing exhaust and stuff id look at a proper remap first see what power gains are available.

Yeah good call, I may get a dyno print out and see what I'm putting out now. Always been curious. Then go from there

That would be a better idea actually, my tuning box said 135hp but after a remap I'm guessing it was 120ish before maybe abit more.

Its still only a little 1.2 with a little turbo strapped to its back though.

Not really the kind of engine for big gains and throwing you back in your seat.

which tuning box do you have as i have been considering one for a while but htought they were out of fashion as people dont talk to much about them like before???

I have the tmc tuning box and the gains are a lot more than just 15hp, I would estimate around 135hp, taken it off twice recently and feels so sluggish without. I will get a print out soon and report back
