Folding mirrors stopped working, partially

Featured Replies

They no longer fold on the keyfob.  They work OK on the rotary switch on the driver's door. I was wondering if it is the first sign of the keyfob battery running out????

Any clues please folks?

It's only happened this last two days.

One of your windows has lost it's one touch operation.
Find out what window it is, close it, release the switch then lift the switch up again and hold for a few seconds, this will reset the window and the folding mirrors.
Your mirrors will then fold again on the fob.

You, Sir, are a scholar.  All sorted now, was the passenger side window.

Many, many thanks.

Just out of interests sake, how do you think that window lost it's one-touch operation?

May have been a bit of grit or dust in the window guide.

The safety trip force seems to be set fairly low as it happens fairly often, but once you know it's only a few seconds to reset.

Yes, and for some reason the passenger side window is usually the one to cause the problem - at least with me it is.
