Coming back into the fold, but I have a dilemma.

Featured Replies

that's only because nobody's asked to take a dead Yeti to a funeral.

Well if they did, Dave would get the Yeti there before it had time to defrost - or whatever they do.

We are talking about the big furry thing aren't we? (I don't mean Dave)

Funnily enough, no. My neighbour however who just moved in is a funeral director. I could, if I had a nice black superb wagon, offer to help him carry his silent passengers around on a weekend. You know for morbid ****s and giggles.

I couldn't do that in a Yeti.

Shifty is going into the Funeral business? Dave! You losing it or what?        :D

I'm getting around 18mpg from my 10 year old Saab and spend more than the monthly payments on these new Skoda's in fuel alone.

Blimey, that's not good at all!  I thought the Saab had the same engine as my car but the 250bhp version? Or is yours the 2.3?

Mine is the 100% SAAB 2.3 HOT. Car weighs in at 1750kgs and it's an auto. 30+ on a run :)

Makes sense looking at those figures.

You could get a roof rack. Hth :)

Interesting, what makes the Yeti a better drive (for you)?

IMO the Yeti is very nice, my Superb was however better in just about every area I can think of (obviously apart from off roading... which the closest our Yeti has come to this is parking in a field)

i found the Superb to big for the sort of driving i do, (country roads & inner city) it does beat the Yeti for cruising motorways but i generally prefer the Yeti

No fold-flat front seat in the Yeti?

You'd have to make sure the lid was on though, it would put the willies up you if you got the head end

Will you own the car at the end, if yes look at risiduals, Yeti Im guessing may stack up better, Superbs have a reputation for poohing money away , even big cars from prestige brands are now a dodgy investment

Superb I would guess is a better drive as its a road focussed car, Yeti is a 4x4 with a road bias

Other thoughts

Octavia Scout, We have a scout & friend has a Yeti, Scout just seems more practical as you can get a lot in before you fold down the seats.

Re Disco Kit, is a cheap trailer out of the question then that side is covered. ( also a good place to put the kids if they are being horrors)
