Featured Replies

Thought id start a little project thread seen as though i have finally got round to doing a few bits and pieces to the car

I spent ages looking for a black magic fabia with the elegance package as the vrs was a bit costly for me and finally came across this one on wasn't in the best shape covered in scratches and looks like it had never seen a bucket of water & sponge the images really don't show how bad it looked when it was dry when i went to have a butchers at it but i brought it anyway

What's the suspension setup mate?

What's the suspension setup mate?

Not 100% sure what you mean by setup but these are koni's str.t kit with h&r springs lowering the car 35mm non adjustable as id only make the ride worse knowing myself :D rides really well not to harsh and handles loads better then stock in my opinion need a rear anti roll bar soon

Another evening down the garage this time for a service which i got for free as i was plumbing in there ring main at the time sadly forgot to take any snaps and was suppose to be measuring up pipework to see what was needed to make my PD130 turbo fit while it was on the ramp but totally forgot :(. For anyone who is interested all the service items were from ECP no gucci brands here apart from the engine oil & additive which was rock oil 5W30 sport fully synthetic & lucas oil stabilizer.

I did manage to get my new stereo, sub & amp wired in when i got back home and took a few snaps today at work

Stereo is a Sony DSX A60BT with Bluetooth and fits perfectly into the slot where the oem radio came from

Not 100% sure what brand of sub i have but its got an alpine amp attached to it removed from my old car stuck it in with some 3M dual lock fasteners which no matter how hard i corner or brake it doesn't shift a bit.

I'd be interested in knowing what's needed to make the 130 turbo fit, looking out for a garrett one but I'm still undecided wether I should or not lol. I definitely need more power tho, got embarrassed by a 318 yesterday :(

Il be doing a very in depth step by step to swapping a atd turbo for a garrett asz pd130 turbo on here soon as no one that I have found has done one and would be really good for future pd100 tuners and a 318 now that is a shocker don't do what I've done and tried messing with a 320d didn't end well :D

The guide will be extremely helpful :) and I think the s2000 filter is next for me, along with pressed plates. Bodged up a side exit exhaust at work when I was bored so I'm hoping it will sound alright with the filter, but not too much. Decat is a bit OTT unless I'm running silly power aha

Sounds like a good plan mate I'm going to sort a decat downpipe for when my new turbo is in place get them gasses out quicker :D only thing I've done to the intake is add some smooth bore 90mm tube into the air filter housing from the grill as the pd100 intake is stupidly small :)

Busy weekend got a few more bits done changed the gearbox oil and added some additive ive heard the oil in the box is "for life" but i just cannot believe that myself so in went so fully synthetic & moly slip

once that was done it was onto the coolant temp sensor as my gauge hasn't been reading correctly for a few weeks literally a 10 minute job and all now my Gauge is actually reading some temperature finally.

lastly a quick visual mod tinted the fog lights yellow not everyone's taste but quite like it hopefully in the week have the chrome grill sprayed to match the car complete with new badges :)

Haven't Posted in a long while and have had a fair amount done to the car in the past few weeks blacked out the front grill and added some new badges to the front and rear fitted the Golf GT TDI PD130 turbo with no issues the only part that i had to change was the inter cooler pipe work side which i made from silicone hose bits and alloy tube the rest just bolted in place as well as that ive fitted a darkside decatted down pipe which at the minute is all im running exhaust wise and it sounds epic can here the turbo spooling and the waste gate loud and clear i love it but i doubt the "fedz" do and im sure il be stopped soon :D
