Hardwire for Mobius

Featured Replies

Hi Again

just ordered 2 x Mobius V3 cameras. I've also ordered 2 x piggy back fuse holders.

i want to hardwire them and i'm a little confused.

https://www.joovuu.com/gb/batteries-powerbanks/150-hardwire-kit-micro.html        this says it is not compatible with newest mobius.

if instead of using the packaged cable if i bought 1 x http://www.banggood.com/3A-15W-DC-12V-To-DC-5V-Dual-USB-Power-Charger-Adapter-Converter-Module-p-930992.html

and 2 x http://www.carcamerashop.co.uk/extra-long-5m-usb-power-cable.html

would that work?

thanks

thanks mate. will it still run in parking protection mode with that set up?

I used a vertical right angled usb connector so there's less visible cable at the top of the screen and a super capacitor to replace the battery.  I have wired mine into the small storage box in front of my knee.

Max memory size is 32GB.  Bigger cards will work but the Mobius gets confused when the memory is nearly full and crashes.  With the 32 card it records over the old recordings without problems.

Never tried the park mode with this set up but I doubt the capacitor would be able to power it long enough.
