Superchips

Featured Replies

 Ive been looking around the site and most of you seem to be getting Revo & Jabbasport chips ect.... but nobody mentions Superchips, is there a reason for this????

The only reason I ask is I live practally on their doorstep so It would be really convienent 4 me. I've had my VRS for about 6 months now and I wouldn't mind getting it chipped.

Its my first time here so any advice would be welcome.

It's true that a lot on this site don't rate superchips but from reading some reviews from the NET and also on Autoexpress, the results seem very good!

OK maybe you might not get as much power as a Jabba or Custom Code custom remap but I'm sure that you will be more than happy with it!

That said and done, I still travelled a 7 hour round trip to Jabba when there was Superchips at my doorstep!

PS Revo dealers are all over the country too. Have you been on thier website to check if there is one local?

Hi there, i have recently had my Vrs superchipped i can highly reccomend them..the service was excellent and the results were fantastic...like you the superchips dealer was in the local area so i went for them....I took alot of comfort in the fact that superchips offer a 1 yrs warranty. I agree most people dont use them but you dont always have to go with the crowd.

Auto Express rated Superchips in the VRS when they had theirs done........... don;t they offer some warrenty on the engine so that your still covered, with Skoda still being liable for all other non-engine related parts ??

Superchip does indeed offer a warranty, part of the terms of which are reproduced below. But the fact that any alterations or modifications before or after the fitting of the Superchip invalidate the warranty could well mean that no-one is covered!

What does the Superchip Warranty offer?

In the extremely unlikely event of The Warrantor being responsible for causing damage to your vehicle, Superchips will, under the terms and conditions of their warranty, repair your vehicle. The warranty is not intended to replace the existing warranty provided by the manufacturer, but will supplement the cover to include the parts deemed to be excluded by the manufacturer.

Mechanical or Electrical Breakdown

The sudden and unforeseen failure of a component of the Motor Vehicle directly attributable to the operating or fitting of the Superchip warranted hereunder, causing the Motor Vehicle to stop working and therefore requiring repair or replacement before normal operation can be resumed providing the failed component was covered by the Motor Vehicle manufacturers warranty and declined by them due solely to the operating or fitting of the Superchip.

Alteration or Modification

Any alteration to or modification to the Motor Vehicle before or after the fitting of the Superchip shall invalidate this warranty.

Not a great advert for Superchips... "I don't think they got the fuelling quite right" (Melted Piston!).

Don't they only give you 165ish bhp too?
