I was wondering is there any way to retrofit O3 hatch 5th door to open with key button? Put some springs?

 

It's annoying to have big 5th door, but every time you have to open it you need to do it manually. Not really practical when approaching the car with hands full of bags. :p

Its been done with the mk2, cant see why not

mine does open when you use the key button.

it doesn't open properly because of the weight of the door but it does release so you only have to push it up.

Any idea where can I buy this type of springs?
