    Charcoal cannister

    Used to capture fuel vapour from the Petrol tank and then introduced to burn in the intake when the engine is running.

    Agreed, That's where the fuel filter would be if it was a diesel, however it clearly says TSI on the engine cover, so it will be the charcoal canister.
