Featured Replies

Hi - hopefully a simple task please

Access your car, and access module 46, convenience ECU - Can you rattle off the part number for it please?

 Thanks

edit: I guess it can't hurt for 53/54 ones to do the same. ;)

If no one posts today I'll do it tomorrow and post up the part numbers.

Use Vag com on it - Access channel mentioned above and find the part number on the convenience ECU - I need one. :)

You should see a readout like:

Address 46: Central Conv.

Controller: 1C0 959 799 B

Component: 4Q Komfortgerat HLO 0003

Coding: 00259

Shop #: WSC 24046

No fault code found

(This is for my Octavia 4X4)

I think that Jason will need the controller part number and the component details. The Fabia's controller will probably be 6Q0 959 433 E or a variation on that.

oops havn't got a vag thingy :(

nope, there is a three digit code after the part number, its this bit which defines if it has four or two electric windows, remote CDL, alarm etc.

No worries, shall refer to that other program when back in Devon tomorrow evening. Stuck up in the Midlands at the moment. :)

J you gonna be trying to source one of those from a Dealer?? - they are circa

I know they're a lot of dosh - hoping to source one elsewhere. :)

Ross, would adding a 0 to leading 2 digits for the component (33 Komfortger

Not sure Denis but that is the number I come up with after a bit of digging on ETOS, the only one listed with alarm + sensors.

That part of ETOS is what I tried navigating the other night - so many to choose from. Loads of RHD ones, and some with alarm + e/f windows, then others included radio remote central locking, but then no alarm.

I thought I spotted the correct one, and there appeared to be 2 generations of it too - one up to December 2003 (may have been 2002) and a newer gen from the following January + I'll make a note to see if a 033 exists in there too. :)
