Are you going to fitting stronger double springs for the valves with this camshaft? And do you know if it's cut from a chilled cast blank or steel blank? Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Thanks for the reply, I looked at Winols but thought the paid for version was needed to actually modify/save the maps rather than the test version, could be wrong as I found their website pretty hard to navigate!

there's a few cracked versions around online , might be worth to make a account on ecu connections everything's on there to guide you around mapping, could use vag edcsuite that's a free version but it doesn't show all the maps up so you'll still need to search for them, any questions just mail me il try help you

bit of an update got camshaft fitted today along with new lifters bearings etc all seams well so far, first start up was real lumpy like a petrol cammed car but soon fixed that, the torsion value was 4.4 in vcds after several attempts I've set it at 0

audi a3 ppd170 pal just picked it up yesterday yh got it in a little earlier but didn't feel as strong ending up with surging, I get full boost at 2800rpm running 2.5 bar in midrange than tapering off to revlimit

Planning on modding that? Shame about the injector restriction on them...

 

Bit of a bugger that... seems you reached the limit and had the veins a bit too far closed. Hope my VKLR hybrid will be better!
