Another AFH question.

Featured Replies

Hi guys built and transplanted my 1.6 AFH over the weekend, just got to finish pluming it up all good except I have a hose tail on the inlet fannymold next to throttle body, I assume its for a vacuum hose and guessing its something to do with egr, now I have no egr its been blanked off and its running a 4 branch. Ive seen some pics where there is the odd vac pipe and thing but I don't have any but more importantly I don't have any spare plugs for any on the loom from the AEE, basically if I block it off is it going to run ok? Thanks in advanced for any help.

This is a pic of the hose tail

aaaaaaand shes a runner!!!!!!

I was wondering how to remove my egr so capping that vac pipe will stop egr working

That will only prevent vacuum reaching the control solenoid, so it theory thids should stop thecegr from worrking, but if your egr valve is faulty or partially blocked in the open position it will still alow a portion of thd exhaust gas back through to the intake.

How do you blank it off permanently

So far all I've done is thread a 6mm allen key bolt in to a sort piece of pipe "glued" in with hydraulic seal. Works a treat but will look at a proper silicon blank of just o I don't have to think about it again.
