Flicking through the info options on Mrs Baxlin's 61 reg TDI, I've previously seen the oil temp at 95 deg C, but about 90 mile into a motorway journey this evening, it showed 100 deg.

Anyone know what the normal reading should be, please?

Sounds spot on to me. I usually get 100-104 depending on how much progress I'm making and if there's any incline. However I've seen it shoot up to 110 when the DPF was regenerating.

Mine is usually between 100-110 depending on driving, highest I've seen was yesterday at 113 driving under load and 24c outside temp.

The temp soon drops down though, does the tdi have an oil cooler?

Sounds about normal to me, I've had it up to 116c but only after a proper hammering on the country roads on a hot day.
