recomended car shampoo

Featured Replies

hiya guys just a quick question on which car shampoo u guys recomend after u snow foam as im a noob to this and just received my nozzle and valet pro ph neutral snow foam so looking for a good shampoo and wax preferably for after all help is much appreciated

Hi mate. Be prepared for about 30 suggestions! Best thing to do is have a bit of fun and try out a few samples if you can. Make sure you ensure the shampoo is wax safe otherwise you will undo any hard work you've put in! At the moment I am using Meguiars Gold Class which I think is great. Really slick and quite cheap if Halfrauds have a 3 for 2 offer on. Good luck and enjoy playing!

+1 for Megs Gold Class

Best I've ever used

Wax....That depends on how often you are willing to apply it

You can open up a long thread on this. Most people have their own preferences on these products . I normally get what ever is on special offer. Recently I purchased from TPS their own shampoo and other products whilst on offers , but these were in 25 litre containers . Some people get theirs from Halfords when on offer. Polishes well I have used Purple Haze, poor boys black hole you name it ? Peter

Another vote for Megs Gold Class here. Excellent value for money.

Used it for years now after playing about with various different brands such as Dodo Juice and the like.

Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash & Gloss excellent shampoo and very economical.

Zymol Autowash Smells lovely and does a cracking job.

As others have said you'll get a million answers but most shampoos will do a good job. Oh and wax, although I'm not as experienced as many of the others I'll recommend Collinite 476s to anybody as far as value for money goes your do well to match it yet alone beat it.

I currently use Autofinesse Lather, but fav in the past have been Dodo Juice Born to be Mild

I've got Meg's Gold Class upon the advice of people on here, but will be trying something different next so I have something to compare it to.

I might be disappointed with whatever I get next, but at least I'll know how good Gold Class is.

Try Citrus Wash & Gloss I'm not going to say it's better but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

thanks guys i went with megs gold as recomended :)

Megs Gold Class is great but also so is Megs Deep Crystal and Megs Soft wash.

OK, I'm a Megs fan and tend to stuff the suitcase full when stateside due to the savings that can be made $6 for a 32floz bottle compared to £17.49 at the UK's largest car accessory shop ;)

auto gylm lover here

cheap easy to use and does the job

I don't get on with Autoglym Body Conditioner (green label) but I used their Shampoo (purple label) the other day and it was great! A big improvement for me.

yea the older green stuff is not too clever

the purple stuff if great tho!!

I too just bought this, and it seems good value at £17.  You get loads. It's very sudsy and is lush to use.
