theres a way on his VW Golf (2010 reg) to open the door if the key was locked inside or lost, etc... any ideas if the Sooopy has this?

Mmmmm not the sort of thing I would want to know on a public forum.... If there is, and it is freely available then NO Superb is safe from the idiots that like to borrow cars!

I had a new Passat B6 once and locked the keys in the boot one day. I called VW breakdown who sent an RAC patrol man out. He opened the car very quickly and easily with no damage at all. 

 

He told me US spec cars have to have a 'hostage release' mechanism by law, and this is what he used to get in with no damage. The Passat is also sold in the US so European models also this feature. As soon as this was revealed as a 'security bypass' this was dropped from European models, but older VW group cars had this, at least my 2006 Passat did, I have no idea what year they got to before it was dropped.

 

Whether this is the same thing as your son's Golf or not I don't know.
