Fitting Leather Interior

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm planning on fitting a non airbag leather interior into my mk1 Fabia VRS on Saturday. My only issue is that the interior I'm removing has airbags in the seats which will obviously bring a light on permenantly when I turn ignition back on.

I'm aware I have two options to solve this issue:

1. Buy and fit fused resistors, but I don't know what rating resistors I need.

2. Alter the file on the ECU using VCDS but I don't have VCDS and I don't know anyone who has who lives close to me.

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

I'm based in North Somerset but willing to travel a reasonable distance to sort it needs be.

Thanks in advance.

I put airbag and resistors into google and found this - its for a 370z but I suspect the airbags are all much the same.

He used 4.7 ohm half watt resistors.

There are probably other guides but I'll leave that for you to find.
