skoda octavia inlet manifold

Featured Replies

P2015 fault on the car soon after I bought it so it's been parked in garage as I was offered a company car at the same time, anyway give it to a local specialist from the good garage scheme who told me that the manifold had a spring on it that was out of parameters and that I needed a new manifold so thought I would do some more research rather then spending 600 quid on new manifold fitted,so I Google'd the fault and found a kit on diesel geek to get it repaired anyway I ordered the kit for 97 dollars ( 65 for bracket and 30 for postage) which worked out about £60 and then ordered a new orange inlet manifold gasket from my local dealer dm kieth for £12 Inc vat anyway royal mail posted a card threw my door 10 days after ordering saying item won't be delivered till excise and customs charge is paid which was £14.49.so paid it, collected it and then had gasket from dealers, bracket for manifold from America that was now all in for £75. So now booked car in with vast a saab specialist in huddersfield who do Audi volswagons skoda they quoted me 65 cash for fitting of the bracket which is excellent considering the manifold needed removing. So I had the work done and the bracket fitted they also inspected the flaps for play to make sure they weren't damaged and give me an all clear.. Got the car back no more engine management light easy stress free fix for quarter of price if anyone needs any further advice I can point them in the right direction. All in to fix it £140 including parts labour.
