HELP. STUCK ON HOLIDAY #GRANDKIDS. LOCKED OUT FLAT BATTERY.

Featured Replies

Can't get in 2009 superb DSG CR 170

Presume battery is flat. Both sets of keys can't open doors or boot.

Is there a manual override or do I smash window to access bonnet release to get to battery.

Any help really appreciated. Away on hols with a 4 and 6 year old.

Cheers Robert.

Many thanks Softscoop for the prompt reply. I was able to access the keyhole thanks to your vid link.

Thanx again. R.

There is another problem on some RHD cars after a flat battery. I think Superb II OK but affects Octavia III. As the bonnet release is no longer on the drivers door side if you suffer a flat battery and use the emergency lock you can't open the passenger door (remains deadlocked) which constricts the movement of the bonnet release lever  so you can't open the bonnet to charge the battery. The only way to recover is to trickle charge through the 12v socket.
