Fabia Monte Courtesy car

Featured Replies

Got this today whilst my Octy is in for some warranty work.

1st impressions are the outside looks a lot nicer than the inside. Albeit it is a courtesy car, but it's very basic inside. Are all the dashes green illumination?

It's a 1.2 but only gets 50+ mpg if you do under 70?

Also there was a blue coolant light on, which did go off after a bit, is that normal?

Nice drive on it though.

It is a Mk2 Fabia not a Mk3.

The Blue Coolant light is normal in that it is telling you the coolant is not at operating temp yet.

Isn't that a Fabia Reaction and not a Monte Carlo?  The Reaction was a special edition based on the basic S spec so is a little spartan inside.  Either way this belongs in the Fabia 2 section of the forum.

The Fabia Reaction does not have Black Wheel Arch Trim,

& looking at the DVLA Details and the 124 g/km for that reg i thought it was a 105 ps 1.2TSI.

It's got Monte Carlow on the badges.

Get used to it now, cracking run about.

It's got a body coloured grill too... neither the reaction nor the monte have that.

Looks like it's a end of line part's bin special!

Out of interest, what size wheels / tyres are on it,  17s or 16s.

It could be a cracking buy for someone when they sell it off.

Comes back as a monte after doing a check, never seen a grey monte before, as said its maybe an end of line parts bin car?

All the 64 plate Montes have body coloured grill parts. I saw 4 or 5 of them at the dealers when I went to see that one I test drove and all of them had body coloured grill parts. I prefer the black ones.

I'll check the wheels tomorrow but I'm pretty sure they are 17's. A lot of road noise like the Octy. You guys are sure clued up about the aesthetics, I just assumed all the Monte's looked like that

Hi R1chard,

Just out of interest, what check is that which you 'screenshotted?' Is that an VW/Skoda database?

Different Richard replying but it's a app on iPhone possible other devices too, mycarcheck. Free you can get basic data but also can pay if you want valuation and hpi checks done too.

As Richard92 just said its called, My car check on iPhone but will be in other app stores too if imagine.

It's good to find out basic details, it used to show more info but not restricted so you have to pay!

Usually tells you the engine size and sometimes BHP of a car too.

Can be Interesting

They are indeed.

It's gone back to the dealers now and I'm back in the Octy.

I reckon I'll persuade the mother to get one [emoji106]
