Pirelli P-Zero tyres 225/35 which came with xtreme wheels are pretty awful. Have someone changed them to different size for example 235/40 or 225/40? Will tyre with 40 profile fit? Thinking changing to Nokia Hakka Black/zLine. Had those zLines with old RS.

My continental tyre are about worn out so I'm going to put uniroyal rainsport 3 235/35 R19 91 Y XL FR on my octy vRS TDI

I changed the pirellis at 3000 miles they were that bad, I went for Goodyear eagle f1's assymetric 2's the difference is night and day

What happens to your (not very) old tyres when you change them out that early? Does the supplier give a discount as they can re-sell them or do you stick them on ebay/gumtree for a few quid?

You can ask for them back and sell them yourself, I was planning on doing that but 2 of them had some distortion so I scrapped them.

235/40 tyres are 30 mm (4,7%) taller.Does they fit? The speedometer is not legal after that change in Finland, because it cannot show lower speed that the actual speed.

225/40 tyres are 22 mm (3,4%) taller. 

215/40 tyres are 14 mm (2,2%) taller.

Smallest size difference you get using the 205/40 tyres, then you have tyres which are just legal, because the maximum width change in Fiinland is 30mm.

I've got Uniroyal RS3 on mine (run on my MK2FL) ride was better than the standard fit conti's on 18".

Long shot, however I am hunting for some 18 Gemini or 19 Xtreme in Australia.

235-35-19 mate. Mine are currently uniroyal rain sports. But had vredestein ultrac vorti on before and they were nice.
