Seat Ibiza Toca

Featured Replies

I have owned my Fabia for 18 months now from new but have been tempted by a delivery mileage Ibiza Toca. Its a 3dr in white, 15 plate, up for £8395. Have been offered a straight £6k trade in against my Fabia. I know a few on here have partners/relatives who own one, is this a good deal? I know its a run out model but so was my current Fabia. Opinions?

It's a good car for the money but if it's the 1.4l petrol then it's an obsolete engine with higher road tax and fuel consumption so take that into consideration.

The satnav is the plug in type on top of the dashboard and the interior is not the best looking but it's durable.

The facelift coming out next month has improved up to date engines with a better interior and built in touchsceen radios but look the same as the current model.

It's a case of you pays your money and makes your choice.

So. Whats it got that the fabia hasnt, which is worth £6k?

Sorry. Read that wrong. So, £2400?

Personally. I think the ibiza is nice from the outside, but a right let down inside

Sorry not sure I worded that correctly, they are offering me £6k for the Fabia (I paid £9k for it new 18 months ago). So for an extra £2400 I get (over the Fabia):

Sat Nav/Bluetooth

Remote audio controls

Leather steering wheel/gear lever

Front fogs/DRL's

Higher performance engine (albeit old tech) Tax/MPG almost identical to the Fabia

Tyre pressure monitor

Cruise control

18 months extra warranty

Sportier looks

I can't fault my fabia in the time I've had it but I knew I had made a mistake buying it within a few months of purchase, just not enough poke for me and equipment level is a bit stingy by today's standards. I'm looking at the 1.2 Tsi engined Ibiza as well, that's up for just under £11k but might be a bit out of my price range.

Yeah sorry. I read it wrong, realised after :D.

Hmm few nice bits on it then!

If you like the interior of the Ibiza and the extras are worth £2400 for you, aswel as keeping updated on plate numbers, go for it (:

The 1.2tsi is a better engine, itll return 50mpg and pull nicely from low down, but maybe wait until next time round for that.

Yeah the 1.2 tsi 105 is a cracking engine. Not drven the 85 but by all accounts its great too

One (admittedly petty) thing that would drive me mad owning a seat is that goddam awful 's' logo badge. It looks like chromed cheapness.

Been on the Seat forum and everyone is saying the 1.2 is a cracking engine, problem is it will cost an extra £1500 at least and there is virtually no difference in spec otherwise between the two models.....

cant see it being worth £1500 more if you decide to shift on again in 18 months tbh

Lol no chance of that, this will be a keeper for at least 5 years.

Ah okay

In that case then. Test drive the TSI, you really wont be disapointed. It really doesnt drive like a 1200.

You may think its money well spent, id go for it if its a keeper.
