drivers seat base bolster foam

Featured Replies

has any one replaced the drivers seat base bolster foam on a mk2 octy vrs as mine seams to have flattened a bit and is not very supportive and how easy was it?

I swapped my drivers for passengers, which is relatively easy but didn't remove covers, just swapped the whole thing over.

Looked easy enough to get the covers off though, few of those strong split ring clips to take off.

Foam is about £95 from Skoda - I got a price last week. TPS might be cheaper.

I need to dismantle the drivers seat in my car as I have two complete extra front seats but they are a different fabric pattern and so would look odd if I just swapped them.  So I am interested in this.

Also at the OP I should have a spare complete seat and if you are interested in making this a joint effort then I would happily chuck you the base foam.  Assuming the foam in the vRS seats is the same as elegance spec seats.  I can't be too far away from you.

thats a good idea did you have to remove the seats, and when you remove the seat base cover from the seat frame does the foam come with it in one thanks

Yes you have to remove them and then take the back off.

The foam comes off with the cover attached. The cover clips on around the base and holds it all in place.
