Bit of plastidip experimentation

Featured Replies

Not sure if I should do the mirrors and/or the grill? Thoughts?

For the record I'm undecided if I like it or not!

I like it, it's different but would leave as is now

Kinda like that. Think I would do the grill too but leave the mirrors.

Looks good - Cupra style.

I'm about to do some Plastidip experimentation - my grille is currently colour coded candy white but has really bad stone chips, so I thought I'd try white Plastidip first and see how close the colour is to candy, then possibly black if I don't like it (which I have see other people do on the forums) - and if neither grab me back to chrome, which I've managed to pick up cheaply on Ebay! For the sake of a £12 rattle can it's cheap and cheerful to have a go and see :)

Like the lower bumper though - did you spray that in place or drop it off the car?

Left it on, just taped off some straight lines as a guide, up close its not the best piece of craftsmanship you've ever seen but it'll do, I too have been thinking of using White plastidip on the grille, I started a thread in styling about it but got little to no response. I quite like the idea of taking it back to standard when it's chop in time

Here's another pic

I've got the white plastidip sitting in the garage, just need to free up a few hours. I like colour coding as a general rule but not yet convinced on a white car - it's all just a bit too..... white :) needs a bit of definition at the front end.

I really like that lower spoiler look though, might think about doing that. The joy of Plastidip is the peelability if you either don't like it or mess it up.

Yeah, I like that, looks a touch more aggressive, i dont think doing the mirrors too woiuld be overdoing it tbh. Dont think it would work on my black car though :p
