Headlights

Featured Replies

Hi,

My headlight needs replacing and I'm trying to buy a 2nd hand one at present. The problem is, I can't work out if Skoda changed the design of the headlight in 2005 or if it is the same as previous models. Looks the same to me but before I order I want to be sure...

Can anyone please tell me if a 2003 skoda fabia headlight would be the same as the 2005 model. My 2005 model is the newer one with the round fog lights...

I don't know much about cars so I hope this makes sense!

Thank you,

Vicky

They're all the same.

I'm not sure what the change might have been, but there was a part number change around 2003. See the highlighted, rhd group below. Suffix H up to and including chassis no. 6Y-3-725552, suffix R thereafter:

This was looking up for 2003. You can ignore the suffix AA parts, as they're for some Australian variant, apparently.

I would suggest asking the seller what the part number is and only using one with an R suffix on the base 6Y2941015 or 6Y2941016 part number to be confident it will be a direct fit. I would expect you'll find suffix R on your existing lights?
