John, generally speaking how did you find getting into the lights? I want to uprate all the bulbs, but don't fancy paying for the dealer to do it if it's easy enough for me to do myself.

I have replaced main beam bulbs both sides, twice. It's a bu**er!. Expect sore knuckles. For near side I removed plastic cover over washer bottle. On Drivers O/S you have to remove most of the inlet ducting.

Last time I let the dealer do it and they naffed it up big time. Lost the back clip. taped the bonnet cable with sticky tape to hold cover on and broke the internal mount. It went back twice, and to a different dealer. Each time told it's been fixed, and the beam still points down! Can't be bothered now, as going by march. 1st dealer gone now!

my dad had to get the aa out to change one of his sidelight bulbs, he said their a nightmare.

I have replaced main beamand side light, bulbs both sides, . it is very fidldy but if you persevere you should be ok, You skin your knuckles if you got big hands. For the near side you need to removed plastic cover over power steering resevoir bottle. On Drivers O/S you have to remove most of the inlet ducting. hope this helps oh and for side lights just pull on bulb holder and keep pulling eventually they will come out ..

best regards

john

good luck!

Thanks John. Perhaps it would be better to pay someone else to skin their knuckles after all!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Might be a bit late to reply to this but it's a hell of a lot easier to remove the bumper then you can get at the lamps properly.

The headlamps are deisgned in such a way that the bulbs are servicable but you have to get a dealer or someonelse to change them for you.

This type of thinking is obviously a way to make money for the manufacturers but in reality taking the front bumper off is a second job.

Changed all mine at the weekend and took about 15 minutes in total.

You can ofcourse in some cases get your hands down there but I can guarantee that you will have little skin left and also probably unclip the moduel when trying to force new bulbs into the lamp assembly.
