New Mobile contract - handset choice

Featured Replies

I'm bored of being bled dry by a certain provider (a colour) over my monthly mobile bill. In an effort to retain my cash, I upped to a higher tariff that had more minutes. This helped, but not enough.

They offered to shunt me over to a "Premier" plan, which costs another

I have the k750i. I really like it. If the memory isn't enough, cards are cheap enough. It is slimmer than the Samsung and lighter. Also, you can get a lot of free games if that tickles you.

I love my K750i... Does everything I want it to and more.

You're upgrading from a V3 ffs, and your whinging about the memory on a K750i!

New MMC cards can be had quite cheaply.

Didn't realise the K750i took MMC. thought it was stuck purely with the Sony Memory stick duo.

I thought this because i've got a laptop that has an MMC/SD/Memory Stick slot, and i got hold of a memory stick and a memory stick duo and their physically thinner, with different contact spacing and narrower than the SD/MMC form factor.......

I know the V3 has a poxy 6mb memory, but it's the flip/clamshel design phones i prefer over monobloc....... just that the K750i is a teeny bit attractive

Decisions decisions, becuse if i make a wrong choice, i'm stuck with it for another 12 months........or go back to my old t28s.........

K750i uses the Sony Memory Stick Duo and Pro Duo.

They are cheap enough though.

having had browse through the various memory card suppliers, the Sony format stuff is consistently three or more pounds more expensive than the micro-SD transflash format...........

not that i'm tight or anything....*rolls eyes*

Er one that goes ring ring  Sorry I am not into this whole phone thing.

How much memory do you want?

The k750i comes with 32mb on the phone and a 64mb card. The cheapest way to upgrade is to keep an eye out for someone selling their card from a w800i. They have 512mb of memory and tend to sell them on cheaply when they upgrade to 1gb. 512mb is enough to house a few albums in mp3

www.sen-se.com - always people selling new cards on there.

I also have the K750 and like it very much.

I don't think Nokia are producing good phones at the moment.

Sorry, the K750i uses the memory stick duo, but comes with an adapter that turns it into a regular memory stick...

My bad :o

got to be the w800 for me, the same phone as the 750 but with more stuff. including a 512mb card

If you want a w800i, just get the cheaper k750i and reflash it, much cheaper

I think that whichever phone you get, you won't be disappointed, they are both excellent phones. I just found the D500/600 a little bit uncomfortable to hold.

i wouldn't recommend the D600 as I have a D500, well sort of have seeing as though it is still at samsung getting the screen fixed, a few of my mates have got the same problems with their samsungs of varying models. I'd go for the K750i

I have the D600, Cheryl has the D500. I love mine, does all I want it do do (makes calls, sends texts) battery life is good and with the 512 card I can load it with porn :D

I totally agree bud (they all chunky looking at the mo),

thats why I also went for the K750i.

Brilliant phone and would recommend to any1 :)
