Need new rear calipers for VRS

Featured Replies

Hi all

Need new rear calipers for wife's car, fitted return springs ages ago and sick of messing about with wd40 to get the handbrake levers to release, so what do I go for ??? Not fussed about them being green either

Seen genuine ones for about £110 each

But as anyone used any of the after market ones that can be recommended

Thanks

In the past I have used ECP during a big discount campaign, I see they are selling unpainted Pagid - which are refurbished originals and painted TRW - which is currently the holder of the Lucas names for brake callipers and who supplies car factory lines with these "Lucas" callipers. There are probably unpainted TRW in there as well.

The "bigger" price includes the surcharge which you will get back when you hand the "old but refurbishable" parts back in.

It was Pagid ones that I bought.

Edit:- I seem to remember that I managed to re-use the aluminium sealing washers on the hose ends, though the Pagid kit includes new copper seals and rubber bellows.

If you are not bothered about brand then ebay is probably a good idea

I've a complete pair with discs and pads in full working order, one caliper is pretty new and the other has been painted black

Rear drilled and grooved discs 232mm with fully working rear calipers fitted with return springs and recent Brembo Pad £75

i'm in Egremont, Cumbria is thats any use to you?
