Extended Warranty

Featured Replies

Talking to dealer about extended warranty for imminent new Fabia. To buy full Skoda cover for years 4 and 5 costs circa £324, but has to be purchased at time of buying/registering car. This gets you full warranty cover + Breakdown Recovery etc for 5 years/100k miles. If you buy the extra Warranty later, then it will cost £599 and get you Dealer Warranty which, I'm told, is not as comprehensive as the full fat version. Of course, if you only intend to keep the car for 3 years, then you need do nothing.

Think I'm going for the full fat version as I might well be keeping the car for the period covered.

Not sure you get breakdown and recovery with the Skoda warranty purchased with the new car, at least you didn't 2 years ago when I bought mine.

Worth buying the Extended Warranty at First Registration.

As to the Extended Warranty after 3 year,

earlier on this year for a Mk2 Fabias the Skoda Approved Extended Warranty for 24 months extra did not cost £599, (1 year £399)

& recently there is a New Skoda / VW Extended Warranty for12 months that is quite a good deal.

Bought the extended warranty - 5 years/100k miles - at time of registration. Full Skoda warranty plus breakdown, recovery etc. the whole ball of wax, for £324. Bargain of the year as I think this one is a keeper.
