Doing the brakes on my octavia and I'm in the middle of doing os rear, wound the piston back and now the winding tool is stuck dead! Can't rewind it cos the piston won't turn in reverse! Any ideas?!

The piston should not wind outwards , that happens when the brakes are worked to take up any free play.

 

The tool has to rewind otherwise there will be hundreds of cars running around with rewind tools stuck in their brakes.

 

Forgive a stupid question but are you turning it the right way?

Unscrew the boby of the tool between the caliper faces. its easy but does get you for a moment!
