Hi. Just bought my first skoda yesterday and loving it already. A 1.8t octavia vrs mk1. One thing i cant seem to suss out is the button in the middle of the electric window cluster. You know, the one with the window and a 'x' through it.

Someone shed some light on this for me please? Many thanks.

its the window lock button to stop passengers using the electric windows. kid safe :)

As above. I thougjt mine was broken for about a week after i bought the car as i didnt realise the drivers conteols still work...

Yeah mines effed aswell. Can still use the rear windows. Rarely have passengers in the back so not really fussed. Cheers for the replies tho.

A chinese pattern part drivers unit cost about 10quid shipped. And work fine. Ive had one 2yrs without a problem after the hinge snapped on one side of the drivers window switch. It was a pita to open and close thw window until i changed it, which took about 6mins..
