Am I reading this correctly,a Skoda Octavia RS costs more than a VW Golf GTI and a Subaru Impreza WRX? Don't see any reason (apart from boot space ) that anyone will buy it.Thought it was meant to be a cheap Golf GTI?

Although it's cheaper when you consider that the xenons and the radio stuff don't come standard on an NL-spec GTI. Apparently Skoda NL have decided to shorten the options list instead and go for the big money immediately. Presumably their confidence is as sky-high as their pricing because the diesel models are huge sales hits (and I mean HUGE) on the lease market here.

Old one sound similiar to here alright, 32.5k ish is what I've heard here for the new one (I doubt we'll be getting Xenons as std though).

Told by my "new" local dealer, will be €32,000 basic, but no details on standard fittings other than it will have climate. think basic GTi here starts at €34,500 :confused: :confused:
