I an in the process of ordering my third Skoda, this time an Octavia SE L  1.6CRDi DSG

 

I have got confused in what is standard equipment on this model.

Other posts on this forum seem to suggest that Auto dim mirror (ADM) is an optional extra. Broker sites (Drivethedeal & Autoebid) show it as a £125 extra.

Yet the latest brochure (July 2015) shows that ' intelligent light assistant with high beam control  Includes rain sensor and auto-dimming rear view mirror' under the options page is standard on SE L

Its the ADM I want.

Also can anyone comment on whether 'Front Assist'  comes on the SE L. The brochure says yes!!

 

My ordered spec is ; Octavia Hatch SE L 1.6 CRDI DSg in Race Blue and full Beige leather (Heated seats) and 17" Teron wheels

The car configurator shows the auto dimming mirror is standard but that can be wrong. All I can suggest is call skoda UK they should be able to confirm it

A UK spec SE-L should have Intelligent light assistant with high beam control incl. rain sensor and auto-dimming rear view mirror as standard; it should also have Front Assist as standard (some MY14 Elegance cars did not have Front Assist but MY16 SE-L should have Front Assist). I would recommend that you ensure that these items are listed on the order form to remove doubt and to give you more leverage when the car is delivered.

 

The sites listing the £125 option have probably got their wires crossed with the auto dimming door mirror option.

 

I have a race blue hatch Elegance with a beige interior, I am really happy with the combination and the heated seats work really well (heats both bottom and back cushions). If you search for posts from 'Warkman', that person has a MY16 SE-L in race blue with a beige interior and Terons and somes posts have pictures.

 

The only things I would recommend is a steel spare wheel and possibly the sport suspension which lowers the car by 15mm as the standard car (like mine) sits too high.

The SE-L spec is much as the Elegance has always been, auto dimming mirror with rain/light sensor and high beam assist should be on there.

Front assist came back as standard spec though gather Skoda UK have now stopped supplying ACC and park assist (they only threw it in for a short time between the 15.5 and 16 model years) so cars ordered now would have rear sensors and regular cruise only (I believe).

Also assuming we are talking Uk specification and not elsewhere.

Bought my MY16 Octavia SE L from stock. Its Production date was 24th June and came with No cost options of ACC and Park Assist. It did include ADM as standard. It has Front assist , but not sure if this is standard fit or part of Park Assist.

I have now seen on the config that the £125 is for ADM wing mirrors

Now satisfied  that it comes with ADM and front assist
