When is the facelift expected?

Featured Replies

I'm looking into ordering a VRS, but I want to know when the next facelift is expected. I don't want to place my order only to have a new model come out a few weeks later.

Speculation is that it will be Spring 2016, sorry make that 2017, and i get where you are coming from. Have a read of this : ( use Google translate )

My view would be to make sure you like the facelift over the current model and also there may be good financial incentives to buy the current model after the facelift production dates are published.

My motto is : if you keep waiting for the latest you may never buy anything !

There will always be something new in the pipeline!

Good luck with your purchase whatever you decide.

If that will be the final look of the facelift model, Im glad I bought this year. The headlights look awfull!

But the new yeti looks great!

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a face lift octavia, the current generation is less than 3 years old. Once you see face lifted versions of other cars on the same platform (such as Audi A3, as that's been around the longest) that's the sign that a new octavia may be on the horizon.

The past isn't always a guarantee of the future, but the Mk2 Octavia didn't get an external overhaul until it was over 4 years old.

I agree.

This is really ugly:

I'd be amazed if it's here before 2017 when it's four years old.
The Mk2 was five years old before it got a redesign.

I heard VAG now on 5 yr model life with face lift after 3 years for all models since Golf 7, so that would be facelift in 2016, new model 2018?

  • 2 weeks later...

Better than rendering of the red one above but still... No thank you!
