Sai

Featured Replies

Fitted a cold air intake today. Only to discover that the sai pipe has the bend on the end of it missing so im unable to join it to the new intake. Any idea of part numbers or cost? Cheers

Iv got a filter that attaches to the sai pipe. Problem is I think it fits onto the bend. I bet iv got my old pipe laying around somewhere tho. U could do the sai delete and get rid of it all together.

When i bought the car the bend had been taken out and a little round filter had been bodged on. I now need the bend but obviously it aint in the car. No octavias in the local breakers either

Which part do you mean? The bend into the airbox? I've got some bits and bobs lying around I may be able to help...

Leave a filter on it and blank the hole on the intake pipe?

Picture would help :)

That sounds like the best bet if you're on about what I think you're on about

I'm still partway removing my SAI gubbins. I've got as far as removing both the pipes from the pump, disconnecting the pump and unplugging something fixed to the plate that is bolted to front of the inlet manifold. If you still need the pipe, I have one with the bend and the filter on it on the shelf in the garage. This is an old photo of my engine, but it's obviously the pipe with the small red filter attached to it:

Yes the bend on the end of the sai that would have originally went into the standard air box.
